  1. Alpha!!!: Makeni - The Motherland Hometown

    President Ernest Bai Koroma on Thursday, February 23 this year commissioned  the newly constructed clock tower in Makeni. The magnificent clock tower was made possible through  a donation by one of the leading telecommunications companies in the country, Africell Lintel. During the program , President Koroma received tremendous acclaim from thousands of excited people in the  Northern Regional capital . The President told the crowd that his government was determined to take development to all parts of the country.

    Takes me straight back to Makeni, when i was there last summer, the Clocktower still had scaffolding up. the town is looking great. I have a lot of love for this place, its where my earliest memories are from, both joyful and sorrowful. Each time i see a picture of Makeni now, i think of all the new friends i made last summer, i think of my history with the town, i think of all the children i hopefully influenced last summer. when i think of Makeni, i’m thinking of home.
